The gallbladder meridian

The gallbladder meridian is the Yang meridian of the wood element. It starts at the top and then goes down. The starting point sits at the outer corner of the eye and runs in a zigzag shape over the skull and temples. From there it moves down the neck, over the front of the shoulder, and leads to the costal arch. From the costal arch, it moves back to the waist, and the iliac perineum and onto the hips. It makes a lot of zigzags on the upper body. The meridian continues on the outside of the leg down to the feet. He ends at the outer tip of the 4th toe.

To stimulate the gallbladder meridian in
Yang Yoga, I stretch myself over the whole side while standing. The starting position is Tadasana. I take my feet hip-width apart and first feel rooted through my feet. I lower my head sideways to the left and breathe into this neck stretch – 6-8 breaths. Then I pull my head back to the starting position. I lift my right arm over my head to the ceiling and fold myself sideways to the left. The hips must stay where they are in the starting position. So that means that my two legs are still perpendicular to the floor. Now I breathe deeply into the whole right side of my body. After 6-8 breaths, I come back over the middle and switch to the other side. I repeat this exercise two more times on each side.
