Anger and rage are the two emotions that are assigned to the wood element. We all face one or the other at some point in our lives.
It is important not to repress them, but to leave space for them like everyone else. Subduing anger can negatively manifest itself in our body and can even cause diseases.

When I perceive a hint of anger, I put everything I have around me aside, try to breathe deeply, and, if possible, move briefly. In the form of a short interval workout, a walk, a jogging session or a couple sun salutations. If I’m at work and time or the situation does not allow it, it also helps me to shake my arms, hands, legs, and feet a little.

This helps me to gain the necessary distance to look at the situation that triggered this anger. Afterward, I can reflect on it and at best accept it and then let it go again. So it has no chance to manifest itself in my body.
